True Story... I was showing my little cousin my old flipnotes from Hatena when he suddenly asked me this random question. Instead of saying somthing smart like "Oh they're just people who are fans of talking animals, no big deal" I instead spit out "It's complicated...." and sit there awkwardly wearing a poker-face as he says "Don't they wear animal costumes? Is the guy from What Does The Fox Say a furry? Ohh, I think I know what furries are..."

xD I can't say for sure if I'm a furry or not myself - I like normal, non-verbally communicating animals and anthromorphic ones equally - but explaining what a furry is in the first place must be awkward at best, especially if you happen to be a furry yourself.

XD A common misunderstanding. Maybe. I don't know if I consider myself a furry either. I mean, not all anthros have fur. A lot of mine are birds.
