this is my fan art for my most favorite book by Betsy Cornwell called ''Tides''. her name is Mara, and she is a selkie (a seal that sheds its skin to turn into a human). i drew her based on her description in the book. i reeeealllly love that story and would HIGHLY recommend if you like mermaids or something ^_^

I read this childrens' book called "Sterling" and it was about a fisherman that rescued a little seal, but when he brought him to land, was a boy! :D One of my favorite childhood books. >//v//<
