Israel took back their land in the six day war. Ever since then, the Palestinian area's have thrown bombs into Israel. That being said, Palestine is NOT a country it is several differant countries in the middle-east including Lebenon and Jordyn. Israel is not occupying any Palestinian countries. They are fighting for their people and their country.

During the Jewish persecution in Europe in the early nineteenhundredss, many Jews joined the zionist movement and moved into an area of land owned by en.gl.and that was jewish thousands of years ago (Palestine). Following world war two, the united nations decided to create a new jewish state in palestine along with a new arab state. following the creation, as you said the six day war occured and after that Isreal began occupying the new arab state of palestine and a area that was part of egypt: gaza. Isreal allowed the areas to govern themselves but continued to exact De facto military control of the regions. In the nineteeneightiess the united nations started negotiating the recognition of palestine and eventually gave it the title non member observer status.

Most recently gaza and the state of palestine have formed a joint government.

The United Nations, seperated or combined had no authority over Palestine or Israel. You couldn't expect the Jews to listen to some foreign belief system. Israel was a country that existed a long time ago when the Muslims took over the holy land. The Cruesades we're failed atempted to get their land back. Around 900 years later the jews took back their land to free their jewish natives, and re-establishing Israel. In the Camp David Accords, some of the middle-eastern countries accepted Israel as a country. The one's who have not are refered to as Palestine.

Can you please tell me where your information is coming from. You are contradicting yourself.

Yes, you're right. Egypt accepted Israel as a nation in the Camp David Accords, so that had nothing to do with Palestine. Other then that I don't know how i'm controdicting myself. I'm getting all this from History books and modern news from several differant sites. As far as that says, Israel and Palestine are now involved in a ground war, and who is where, is now just part of war.

Yes that sounds more correct. But when, earlier, you said Isreal was a country when the Muslims conquested the holy land, but as far as I know, during that period it was ruled by the byzantine empire. And also you said all countries that didn't accept isreal were called palestine.

One quick other point, the crusades were not an attempt to reclaim the holy land for the jews, it was to capture it for christians. During the first crusade, when jurusalem was seiged, the crusaders kil.led everyone, jews, muslims, and eastern othodox christians alike.

Well of course I corrected myself on the Palestine issue. From what I understand about the cruesades is that they were a military failure to reclaim the holy land. It was a cultural success. What i'm trying to say is, if Israel took back their land after all these years, and they have been fighting other countries in the middle-east ever since, then how are THEY occupying Palestine?

Palestine is indeed a country, not a number of countries. I traced a map to prove this. As for how Israel is occupying it, Israel keeps troops inside of Palestine, and refuses to withdraw, as well as kil.ling the citizens!

Ok, I did a bunch of internet searching and it turns out you are right. It said Israel occupies 61 percent of Palestine. Looking back at the comments after reading what I just read, I feel like an idiot. And i'll admit I was a little bias toward Israel, because I know of all the countries that used to attack it, I know that they make good use of a missle defense system because some country (i'm not sure) launches rockets into Israel every day. All that and the report I read was insanely confusing. What I really mean to tell you is, its cool that you're making a stand for what you believe in but, in all honesty, its not gonna matter. Israel won't stop because of this, and the U.S. won't do anything against its allies.

Sorry if I came across sounding rude at all, If it looked that way, I wasn't trying. You can't accurately transfer meaning through text very easily.
