After Aurora carried the Garson back to their territory, she set him down and waited for her spell to ware off.
... At last, he had woken up.

Garson slowly opened his eyes. His vision was blurred and he felt groggy and light headed. And for some reason, in pain.
"Aurora, he's awake." A familliar voice called.
The familliar sound of a dragons wingbeats were heard and the gentle thud of her landing on the soft ground.
"He's still weak... Leave us... You may return in an hour... No less..." Garson could barely make it out but he knew it was Aurora speaking. The slight cold tone in her voice was unmistakable.
The other who Garson still couldn't make out spoke.
"B-... I need to stay... He's my responcibility..."
There was a pause and Garson could only guess Aurora was giving her the classic Aurora stare when someone questioned her.
What struck him as odd was that she let out a slight sigh in defeat.

"Hhh... I understand... But he is mine as well... Now, for the last time, leave us... Please..." Aurora said. Slight annoyance in her voice but a tone suggesting she understood how whoever was with her felt.
"... Okay... Stay strong Garson..."
He heard the guest walk away and Aurora begin to walk around as if checking the area.
Taking the opertunity, he stood up slowly with a grunt.
"Don't push yourself... You are not ready." Aurora said, not even looking his way.
Garson froze in surprise. A sharp pain shot up his leg and he yelped, collapsing back onto the ground.
Shaking his head, he shook off the blurr that obscured his vision and looked at Aurora.

"W-... What happened..? Where am I..?" Garson asked tiredly.
Aurora turned and layed down in front of him.

"How do you feel..?" She asked calmly.
"Rrgh... Like I fell down a cliff... W-was I attacked when I passed out?" Garson asked.
At the mention of this, Aurora sighed and closed her eyes.

"No... You were not attacked..."

"W-well what happened..? I remember fainting after seeing..." Garson stopped himself and looked away.

A branch snapped behind Aurora and her ears perked. Useing her tail, she grabbed the intruder by the leg and dragged it in front of them.
"S-shadow..?!" Garson breathed, barely able to keep his eyes open.

Shadow smiled guiltily and looked at Aurora.
"I told you to wait!" She hissed. Aurora dropped her and sighed, knowing she couldn't resent her for the reason she dissobeyed orders.

Shadow got up and looked at Garson. He was still bruised and cut up. No doubt he was exaughsted. And he was deathly skinny from lack of food.
Shadow almost gagged as she saw his ribs showing. "Ill." She muttered, trying not to sound rude.
"Two weeks without food will do that..." Aurora said.
Garson was confused. How was Shadow alive? And how was he somehow on the verge of death?
Aurora could see the questions in his eyes.
"... There is some explaining to do..." She said darkly.
