Just imagine having to go to the grocery store to buy a bannana, four gallons of milk, a big box of who knows, and a big pumpkin for whatever Arceas dang reason without the use of a plastic bag!
Plastic itself originates in1600 BC. It was then that the ancient Mesoamericians used bio-derived materials too create a rubbery product. They'd usualy use egg or perhaps blood protiens. Mmmm, blood protiens!
It wasn't until the 1800s that the exciting process of plastic production was revolutionized by Charles Goodyear. He discovered Vulcanization! This facinating chemical process allowed natural rubbers too be converted into more durable materials via sulfur. This causes cross-links to form between individual polymer chains. Oh such brilliance!
Sure this was all well enough, but when the future of plastic bags was at stake, Leo Baekeland invented BAKELITE! The world's first fully synthetic thermoset! You don't know what that is? NEITHER DO I. In 1923,Durite Plastics Inc. became the first to make phenol-furfural resins.
Because of WWI, major advancements were made in the grand field of plastics! New kinds of plastics were created for all sorts of new uses! INCLUDING PLASTIC BAGS!!!
Today plastic bags have a growing variety of uses, including (but not limited to) shopping bags, packaging, bulk containers in industrial production, waste disposal, and now HOT AIR BALOONING!!!
A while back, plastic bags replaced paper ones because people realised that paper ones kiII trees. Then sadly the plastic ones were replaced by the paper ones because people realised that plastic ones kiII animals. And then plastic bags made a come back because people realised that paper ones kiII trees.
Although these major political parties have not yet been officialy reconised by the US goverment as the Republicians and Democrats have, they continue to get at eachothers throuts. As of now the only thing that these rivals can agree on is that ever since paper and plastic bags were invented, both trees and animals have had a one-hundred percent fatality rate.
Meanwhile another party has been emerging with radical ideas about "reusable bags" This is of course ludicris. Plastic bags are the only future of course.
So now you have all been enlightened on this stunning wonder of mankind's brilliance in the studies of plastic! Now, I want you all to go and find a plastic bag to put over your head. Just sit there and take it all in. Isn't it's greatness just suffocating?

I've heard about the wheel in the past. BORING. The plastic bag however is something special.

Oh, so you roll your eyes at me do you? Well, can you imagine a world without them?

Now I supose that one could simply use a paper bag, but a paper bag is not nearly as fun to put over your head as an infant as the plastic bag!

Anything that your parents tell you not to do has to be fun!

Yes, the plastic bag is a fine-no-FABULUS creation.

But to fully marvel at this shimering acheivement in human history, we must first examine it's rich history.

Welp, I've just stayed up past one AM talking about my unhealthy obsession with plastic bags...
I have no regrets. Except for that time that I tried to use a plastic bag as a parachute when I jumped of that roof. THAT WAS SO STUPID!!!
...
I should've used it as a hot air baloon. DUUHH!!!
