As far as what I've seen them reveal it's: Link, Zelda, Impa, Midna, Agitha (the bug girl from Twilight Princess) and a new girl named Lana.
Hopefully they'll reveal more characters in the future. ^^
It has been revealed though that Japan will get a special bundle that includes the game, a triforce shaped clock and a blue scarf like the one Link wears in the game. All in a small treasure chest. I'm thinking of gettin it if it comes here too because I think the scarf looks cool lol Here's hoping. ^^

cool and so cute the characters you can play are zelda,skyward sword impa,link,lana,midna and agatha and a new enemy is zant of twilight princess
