Yes by Quadruped

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS ONLY FOR REALISM! So, I've noticed a lot of this around colors. :p GOSH DARNIT, I forgot to include horse knees on dogs. You know, with the ankle in the middle of the front leg instead of where it's supposed to be. Also, I'm working on those contest prizes. #Animal #Anatomy #Tutorial #Cat #Wolf

It IS so very annoying... xc I think this happens because a lot of people don't do their research or look up photo references.

Omg. They bother me so much too. When I was a lot younger my anatomy was horrid and I didn't understand what I was doing wrong. You really need to study photos and skeletal drawings, at LEAST learn where joints are. You can create very convincing fake animals when you know anatomy. c:

Omg, the horse knees on dogs thing annoys me sooo much! I even did a li'l rant about it a while back. xD I love this! Some people don't take the time to actually see what wolves look like before they go on to realism. :p

Yeah I really hope I haven't been making mistakes such as these.

:P
I already knew this, but I base my style on what I find appealing. And I find a prominent rib cage and thin-fur belly, along with that mlp style ankle, to be appealing in my draws. It's not like I'd ever make it as a real artist, so why bother doing things correctly if it isn't fun for me? :P

Yeah, these bother me a bit too. While I can bear to see these mistakes a bit, I can't give the "horse knees on dogs" a pass. It's not really a question of style or not realism with that because it looks like their legs are broken when people do that e-e'

Ah, very true, very true. I'll keep this in mind if I draw cats or wolves :)

Awww you didn't add the dew claws to back legs :T everyone puts them, when mostly ALL dogs cats and wolves don't have them (some dog breeds do) That's one of the bigest thing people do X3
