Jack and Sleep have always been friends. At one point, he fell in love with her while Sleep fell in love with her niquill and LSD. It took Jack some time to realize what she was doing, but when he did, he urged her to stop.

One day, she took a lil too much drowsying medication and went haywire, telling Jack she hated him and hated herself. She told him she wished she were a big dog so she wouldn't be made fun of, and she wished she were dead. Jack went to stop her from overdosing to end her life, but Sleep force-fed a slew of medication and dangerous drugs (she owns more than LSD lol) to Jack. He attempted to throw it all up, but failed and died quick. Bile constantly leaks from his maw due to this.

Gastornises are around 6', from the early Eocene,(older) and ppls keep arguing over whether it was carnivorous.
Titanis is about 9', from the Pleistocene, and nobody seems to be arguing over it's meat-eaty-ness.
