1st place? Cool beans! That's two contests today which I've placed in 1st or 3rd! So how's the Owliset adopt suposed to go exactly, are we supposed to request a color scheme? In that case then give mine an arctic/mountain biome color pattern scheme. As for the two OC designs: if you're tying them into your current story/series then how about a genet (type of greyish-civet) and a lynx. If it's just OC designs in general then how about a female version of whatever spechies Gyr is (since you created him originally) and a generic genet anthro.
Oh okay, I was kind of unsure which it was. In that case go ahead and create the genet OC from your series (if you want) and then go ahead and do the character sketch of the female version of gyr's spechies (possibley even his mate). If you want you could include interesting dimorphic features and color schemes with it (much like certain birds or reptiles)
re: I KNOW they are from the J.C. Amberlyn book. I just got it. So I was looking through it and copied them for practice. I didnt trace them. They dont look near as good as hers. Copying is how you learn. ALL ARTISTS DO IT. So you wanna get better? Imitate the style you want to develop. I don't know why its any different than looking at a photograph and drawing it.
