Honestly, I have no idea where the idea came from. I was up really late just sitting in bed. :u
I think my thought process went somewhat like this:
I came up with some scene where I was protecting you from something, and then I thought:
''What if we had a child I was also protecting them?''
And then a story just kind of evolved from that. :v

I actually get shot on like the fourth page of the comic. :U

He probably would've shown you his huge collection of spaceships he made of Legos. :v

There are at least 20 of them. xD

A few are, but the majority of them aren't especially large.
Although, one of them has a functioning cannon. :v

Flash and I never followed the instructions and just kind of made enourmous structures. xD

Well in every page but the prologue, she's a fully grown adult. :u

And I imagine I probably did a lot of the parenting at the beginning, before I died.
And then Flash did the rest. xD

Now to finally type that premise... :u

''Hello, my name is Summer.
I've lived a pretty terrible life.
Fifteen years ago, when I was only three years old, a mysterious person entered my house, with no warning.
They carried a firearm, and seemed to be cloaked in shadows. They seemed to seek out my mother and I.
My father burst into the room, and pushed my mother and I out of the range of the stranger's firearm.
''Do whatever you wish to me, but don't you dare lay so much as a finger on Sophie or Summer!'' he shouted at the stranger.
''Is Daddy going to be okay?'' I asked my mother.
She looked up at him.
''I... I don't know.''
''Sophie. Take Summer and get as far away from this place as you can.''
Mother simply nodded at Father. She slung me over her shoulder, and bolted out the room.
Right as we were exiting, I heard a gunshot.
Father's blood was splattered across the room.
''DADDY!!'' I shouted, uselessly flopped over Mother's shoulder.''

''She ran as fast as her legs could take her, shedding tears the whole way.
She took me to my uncle's house, before leaving me there.
That was the last time I saw Mother.
My uncle then raised me for the rest of my life, and I was pitiful. I wanted to be back with Mother and Father.
But I knew that could never come true. So I swore that I would the stranger that mur.dered Father, and make them pay.''
