and i usually favor Lucario :b Even though Mewtwo is one of my top favorite Legends, Lucario still wins my favortisim.

o3o maybe lucario and mewtwo in some parts will fight over gardevoir. And Zoroark, mewtwo, zoroark might duke it out. greninja will just troll mewtwo like lucario xD and ike idk

I'm not actually doing anything different than I was before. I'm just making it a bit more official now.

Also, I should mention that the characters fearured above, besides Lucario and Mewtwo, aren't necessarily going to be significant in future comics, they were just featured in previous ones.

Yeah i was curious why they (Ike, Zoroark and Greninja) were added to this pick. It make sense now.
note that i left Gardevoir out of "they" cause i kinda consider her a co-star than a guest star.

Flamingsonic: The way I see it, having them both in the game means more opportunities for them to bash on each other. The fact that Lucario made it in Brawl over Mewtwo sparked their conflict, but now, with the release of a new Smash Bros. game, their rivalry has reached a critical high point.

Witzke: Yeah, I needed to show that this series ties to Smash Bros. as well as Pokemon, and Greninja wasn't enough on his own to convey that concept. I was also going to use Bowser instead of Zoroark, but that made little sense because I haven't drawn him in any of these comics yet (you can actually see me start to draw him in the replay).

Oh lol, I'm looking forward to this. But does that mean it will only have Smash Bros. characters? It is a SSB comic. I love the glow the beam sword has in 3d as well as the 3d overall. Ike's face looks a little derpy or maybe its just me. XD

^To answer your question, for the most part, yes. That and Pokemon characters. I want any references to stay within the universes that Lucario and Mewtwo are from, so that it makes sense to new readers.

ive always liked mewtwo. the first pokemon movie made him definatley one of my favorites :)

you know i was actually hoping chrom or the avatar in fire emblem awakening would appear in this game. mewtwo im really hoping makes it but if he doesnt i think it would be interesting to have him as a stage (you know similar to the dialga, palkia, and cressila spear tower stage in brawl) like mewtwo would appear in one of his three forms (mega x y and normal) and cause confusion similar to brawl. what would you think if gardevoir became a playable character? im sure that would be interesting as another "female" if you will, character

I think Gardevoir would work pretty well as a fighter, more so than a lot of fan requested characters ever could. What's holding her/him (I'll leave that open for interpretation) back is the vast number of Pokemon to choose from. Ignoring the ones that have already been playable, I could easily see Pokemon like Blaziken, Zoroark, or Hawlucha working as playable characters in this game as well. It's hard to determine who among that group would work best, and that's even if they get in above Mewtwo or Jigglypuff.

My biggest hope is that DLC characters will be implemented after the game's release. It wouldn't be a marketing scheme like some would think, rather, it would give Sakurai and the developement team more time to work on the game after its release. If that were the case, we could get characters like Gardevoir or the Tactician later (unless they're already in the game as a Pokeball or A.ssist Trophy character).

whatever they do i hope they dont stick to a small amount of characters... that and im wondering if they would give 3ds players a chance to take the outline off? (doubt it because the graffics probally wouldnt work out) the graffics for the 3ds version sort of bother me.. i know they wouldnt be anywhere as good as the wii u version but still...to bad i dont have a wii u XD

BlackBeans: While I didn't see Gardevoir anywhere in gameplay or screenshots for the new game, I looked at the reveal trailer for Greninja and saw her/him among the Pokemon released at the begining. Since Sakurai has already confirmed those Pokemon would be in the game already, I guess that means you're right about Gardevoir being a Pokeball character. Oh well. :/

Dragoon: My thought is Sakurai will work to get as many characters in as possible upon release. We already have thirty-three characters anounced (thirty-five if you count the Mii Fighter playstyles seperately), which is close to the thirty-nine we had in the previous game (including transformations and Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon).

what other characters in different game series do you think may appear? like ghirihim from zelda?

Dragoon: It's hard to say for sure. I'm more familiar with Pokemon than I am with other Nintendo franchises (except I technically have beaten every Kid Icarus game to date lol). I could name a few though:

Takamaru: Classic Japan only character who's made a cameo in a few games recently.

Simon Belmont: If Sakurai wanted another third party character (which I doubt at this point) this is the first character I'd look to.

and Geno: I'm not holding my breath on this one, but still possible.

Also, I would like to see the Tactician from Awakening, but it seems more likely we'll be getting Chrom.

Those are just a few of my thoughts on the matter.

chrom would be awesome but i think hed be too much like marth
however the tactician can use tomes as well giving him(or her) the chance to use projectile weapons and perhaps the final smash (spoiler for those who havent beaten fire emblem awakening) could summon grimma the fell dragon of some sort
