I'm not done w/ the manga or FMA:B so no spoilers please! I just want to know what to expect in FMA:B. (Glownight you were right! The opening and closing songs are amazingggg!!!)

FMA:B follows the storyline of the manga more directly.
At the time of release for FMA, the manga was not near completion and the mangaka herself directly requested that they take a different storyline with it.
The manga was finished/near finished when FMA:B started, so at a certain point the two take totally different paths. I'll be honest, the ending for FMA:B is so much better (especially if you ship a certain couple >w>)
And omg I adore the theme songs so. freaking. much. you have no idea
