Chuma was first born out of his three siblings. Their 'mother' was the silver lioness, Una.
The Lion Gods had made Una be the birth mother of Mheetu and Paka's cubs, since the two were both male.
Una raised the cubs, nursing them and such, while Mheetu performed his kingly duties. Paka stayed with Una to help her with the cubs.
As time passed and the cubs grew, they showed very distinct personalities. Saba was strict, always telling her siblings to follow rules set by their fathers, while Vumbi, the youngest, was constantly getting into trouble and bothering the older lionesses. Chuma seemed solely focused on helping his little sister, Vumbi. He helped her climb trees, catch her first bug, and taught her the ways of being a king, despite the fact he wasn't one yet.
After several moons, the young lions were free to do as they pleased, as long as they abided by their parents' rules.
Mheetu and Paka spent their time teaching Chuma, heir to the throne, what it's like ruling the kingdom.

Chuma always made sure he understood everything, no matter how difficult.
---
He was not alone. Grass crunched behind the dark lion cub, and he shivered in fear. Crouching low, he hoped to hide from whatever was stalking him. Alas, his ginger tuft on his head made him easily spotted.
"Hello there..."
"Who's th-there...?" Chuma replied shakily. He swallowed, feeling the pads of his paws moisten with sweat.
Out of the shadows a large, dark coloured lion approached.
Lettting out a whimper, Chuma flattened his ears and sunk to the ground, his eyes wide and pupils dilated.
"Hmph, stop shaking like a fuzzy maracca and get your as.s up," the adult growled.
Obediently, the cub sat up, still quivering slightly.
"Hm... I bet you're wondering who I am?"
Chuma stayed silent.
"Answer me you little pr/ck!"
"Y-yessir!"
"I thought so," scoffed the large male, "Pity you don't recognize your own uncle."
Chuma's ears raised slightly, "Uncle...? But... Papa said you're dead!"

With a deep, menacing snarl, he turned, "Don't you EVER mention your father here!"
Chuma squealed, flinching away.
"Get your fkucing as.s up this instant and listen to me," the bearded lion growled.
"Y-yes sir... um... y-your name... was Kiume, right mister?"
With a nod, Kiume responded with a sinister grin, "Yes. Now, do you know WHY I'm here?"
"No sir."
"Because your fkucing father did this to me!" he roared.
"Your father ki//ed me, all because he wanted to be ruler of the plains."
"Wh-what? But he said-"
"He LIED to you, Chuma! He ki//ed me out of spite! And I want you, " he hissed, slinking closer to the cub, who looked strikingly similar to his uncle, "to become my... apprentice."
Ears raising, Chuma responded, "Apprentice?"
The cub was now interested, rather than afraid.
"Yes. I will give you details tomorrow night... the sun is rising..." and with that, the large male skulked away into the shadows, as if he feared the light of day.

Nyeh, summarizing it really quick so I can play pokemon, sorry. May put the rest later.
Chuma grows up, under pressure from both his father, Mheetu, and his uncle, Kiume.
The stress makes him weak and tired, but he must constantly work.
He always hangs out with Vumbi, and, for some reason, falls in love with her. Kiume encourages this, despite the fact that it results in incest.
Vumbi meets a lone lioness, and they fall in love. Chuma goes into a jealous rage a rap3s Vumbi. Fighting back, she gave him the large scar.
Meeting with Kiume that night, they discuss many things. Mostly, a way to ki// Paka, Saba and Mheetu, while taking Vumbi as his mate.
He plans an attack, recruiting and training other lions in the pride with Kiume's help.
They soon attack, and Vumbi is forced to ki// her own brother.
Kiume's plan is thwarted, and all lions involved suffered horrid injuries in the fight.

Can i ask for a request. Can you make a tutotorial on how to draw lions.
28 Jun, 2014, 12:29 am
Please don't think of Chuma as a villain. He just had too much expected of him at a young age, and the only place he was free to do as he pleased was with Kiume. However, Kiume manipulated the young lion into believing a twisted tale, corrupting the future king.
Eventually, the pressure grew to be too great and he snapped.
This resulted in his own demise.
He knew of the darkness in him, consuming him slowly, and his only light was his little sister. Alas, she was caught in the web spun by Kiume, and was hurt in the process.
In spite of all this, Vumbi still loved her brother. He will ALWAYS be her hero, even though he lost his mind.
