I guess all there is to say here is practice makes perfect. Try finding and appropriate skin color, bumping the head proportion down, thinning out the round face and adding in a neck. Looking at a picture for reference isn't shameful, either! Download a picture of Ezio Auditore via the browser and trace over it. You should end up with a better effect and you can apply what you've learned in your own layout, too. Keep practicing.
