It was a cold and dark night... The sky lit only by moonlight and the distant aurora's dancing across the silver sea of space.
It was qiuet and peaceful. But these lands were unforgiving. Many fought over what game could be cought or land they wanted to claim, but in the end, if you crossed the path of the one who apeared on nights like this, you were never to be seen again... A dragon, white as snow, and fare looking, rested under the shadow of a tree.
The orange glow coming from a fire in a cave had her attention. As growling, snarling and barking grew louder and sounding more v!olent. A loud yelp split the air as a yoing pup ran out of the cave in fear. A gray wolf, three fresh wounds across his snout.
The dragon, feeling a bit curious followed him.
The wolf ran for five minutes until collapseing. The dragon, landing gently next to him. She looked menacing in the grim shadows of night time.
"Don't move child... Or I'll make it more painful than it has to be." The dragon said.

The wolf, no older that six or seven stared back in fear. He shook both from cold and terror. The dragon looked hungry...
"Do you have any final words before I finish you..?" The dragon asked. Her voice smooth... Soft... Almost kind. But strangly eerie.
The wolf, tired and bleeding curled into a ball sobbing. "Please... Just make it end... Do it... Please..." He said.
This was a reaction the snow dragon had never seen or expected. She was use to her prey beg for mercy or try to run.
Her curiosity was perked.
"Tell me... Young wolf... Why will you allow me to end you..?" She asked. As if by magic, the wolf was slowly lifted off the ground and put into a sitting position so he could face her.
The wolf shook in fear as he answered.
"... I... I thought they loved me... M-... My parents... My friends... ... ... All... All traitors... They all left me and used me for their own selfish desires..." He explained.
The dragon stared at him and the young pup stared back. He couldn't tell but as-

he stared at her, something... She didn't seem as eerie or threatening before. She closed her eyes and nodded. A look of understanding... Of pain and sorrow... "I know the feeling of betrayal... Of losing ones you thought truly cared about you..." She said. The wolf stood, a bit lightheaded. "Y-... You're n-not going t-... to..?"
"... No... I see the hurt in your eyes... I sense the sadness in your heart... You share my pain... I shall spare you... But it's best you lea-..." The wolf walked closer and collapsed as he was trying to speak.
"I don't want to be alone..." He breathed, before falling into a deep sleep.
The dragon, unsure of what to do, stared at the young wolf pup.
"... He's different..." She wispered.
She curled around him to keep him warm, trying to think... Is it true... Because of one person... You shouldn't blame the world for cruelty... There's someone who cares... Who shares the same feeling... And maybe fear... Isn't the thing you want to be remembered as...

She was fear, little did the wolf know... A dragon of darkness and night... An Aurora...
She closed her eyes, and could see the young wolves dream...
"Darkness and shadows are missused... They aren't evil... Just... Missunderstood... Light and shadow are paths... Niether is good nor bad... I wish I could change... Change the world just a little...
Oh... A useless wolf like me couldn't do anything... I... I just wish I could help..."
Aurora broke from his dream.
"... You'll change lives darling... You've already changed mine..."

Maybe, just maybe, it means so much more to each of them than they know.

Awwwww, that was so cute! I was actually planning to give Aurora a soft side, and you just showed me how it would look like. That was really cute, I'm having a big smile on my face now. Aurora ain't that bad you know. Once you get to know her, she can actually be quite nice. I see her more as a friend than an enemy. Sure she loves to mess around with me, but I think she also helps me. Several times when I thought "I don't want to do this now" or "I don't have this done yet, what will the teacher say?" The thing would be canceled or the teacher became sick. I've been doodling her a lot too lately. Every doodle of a dragon that I make is either Grin or Aurora. I think..she's trying to protect me..or something.

I actually think...since I made that vent with her in it...She tried to make my life a little brighter. Giving me fun dreams to make me forget the darkness...Giving me the ability to tell people in real life how I feel...And they understand...I may not have told it to my parents yet...But I told it to people that can help me...She makes my life more fun...She's just really..a friend of mine...

Sorry for rambling so much, I'll shut up now.

Well, I wouldn't call her a cutie. She's still dangerous and evil and creepy as hell but she has a soft side. Only a few get to see that side though.
