I spent my birthday with my family, the cats and my friend irl. Sorry I didn't really announce it ahead of time, but I got distracted by an attempted break-in. See, at around 3am a few nights ago, Punchy woke me up and wanted attention and food and then there were sounds outside, so I figured Mr. Fluff was up to his usual mischief. When I went out, I saw that the guy was delivering the newspaper, but he slowed down to stare at some guy standing near the side of our yard smoking and pacing back and forth. He got spooked and another guy came out from between a spot that con.nects our yard to our neighbors and the two mumbled some appology and quickly returned empty handed to their truck and drove off. That was the same house that was robbed a month or so ago, but it looks like this time I happened to prevent it. When I told my parents, they were upset.

They thought I should have ran inside and called 911, but at the time I felt brave because they were so unprofessional and I was upset that they were there. Plus, by the time the police would have shown up, they would have been gone and the police would wake everyone up from both houses and no one would have gotten any sleep. I'm pretty sure they're not coming back. They obviously weren't professionals.
