The luminagon pictured here is my luminagon. He doesn't have a name yet though.
About the species:
This is a species of dragon that lives in the deep sea. The color of the little bioluminecent markings on their sides and the bioluminecent appendages are different between each individual. The male's horns are bright cyan and the female's horn's are bright purple. They can move very fast thanks to their strong tail and three pairs of fins. They are solitary creatures that only meet with each other once every 5 years to mate. Unlike most species of dragons luminagons aren't very intelligent. They are also very aggressive and territorial creatures. They will eat everything and everyone that comes too close to them, even their own young. If another luminagon enters their territory, and it isn't breeding season they will fiercely attack it using their sharp teeth and spikes and even kill it if it doesn't leave. They can become 10 to 15 meters long, but some specimens are 25 meters long! Their body is often dark blue or dark purple but other dark colors occur too. They can't see very well, and rely mostly on their whiskers to sense movement of potential prey. They have a smooth skin covered in a layer of slightly poisonous slime.
This is a closed species.
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

Woah... the colours you used suit this creature perfectly. It looks mysterious and threatening. I can just imagine being far underwater and seeing it looming up out of the darkness. O_O The glowing parts and other features look cool, and they definitely suit a deep-sea monster.
I really like this species. :)

More about luminagons:
Luminagons can breath lightning, but only a certain amount before it has to charge again. They lay eggs in deep sea caves that look similar too shark/fish (I'm not sure which one yet) eggs. Females will take care of the eggs and will defend them fiercely. After the eggs hatch, the young have to take care of their own. After a good meal, Luminagons can survive over a year without eating.

Breathing lightning underwater sounds dangerous.... all the water would become electrified. :o

They don't use their lightning breath often. Only if they're trying to kill a really big prey (like a giant squid), or if their life is in danger.

I want this creature to exist!! Imagine seeing it in real life. Sure, it's dangerous, but I would love to see one...(Then again, it would also tamper with the food chain.) :/ But, it's so cool!

I can barely see it since it's so dark. I only see all of the glowing things, his teeth and his fins if I don't look carefully. Still, great job.

By the way, that isn't bright cyan, that's normal cyan.

Lol I know the pic is dark, but it's a deep sea creature it should be dark. And thanks for pointing that out for me, I'll change the description or the horn color later.

I know, but not THAT dark. It's should still be viewable. Ya know, the Wii U GamePad screen is A LOT darker than the 3DS screen. ._. And you're welcome.

Also, the "bright pink" color I see on the female symbol is actually violet. (Sorry that I'm so picky about colors ._.)
03 Jul, 2014, 8:54 pm
dude I said the female's horns were bright purple not bright pink. .-.
03 Jul, 2014, 9:31 pm
Whoops, typo. xD I meant bright purple.
