This is a fictional raptor I created. It's a rather large buteo and named for its shrill, warbling call. The female is larger than the male, but the male's tail feathers are longer. Although you can't see it, the entire underside is mottled with black, white, and red feathers (I'll probably draw a picture to show it). Trilliers usually inhabit forests, where they prey on small mammals. They're also easy to train.
Any questions about them? Ask away!
Sorry, terrible proportions -_-

AWESOME! I can just feel the motion in this painting! The colors are lovely, too, and I like the long tail feathers :) Do they keep the tail feathers the whole year, or are they just for breeding?

Whole year :) And I'm glad you like it, since I spent so long on the background, then felt like I totally messed up on the trillier :l But it was my first try at a flying bird, so whatever :D
