It is closer... I can practically smell its rotting flesh... I inhale deeply. The dragon halts as it absorbs the air's odor, trying to seek out my location. How it can even smell anything over its own stench is beyond me. The dragon cautiously steps forward. Yes, I can SEE it now... It tilts its face towards me, and opens its maw wide as if to engulf me in flames. I close my left eye and allign my gun with using my opposing eye...I inhale and upon exhaling I pull the trigger...

The bullet travels through the diseased one's yolk-yellow eye effortlessly. Rearing its massive head, the beast let loose a mighty cry of agony. Do I stop there? No, not until it is no more. Pulling the trigger once more, a spiraling mass of metal is plunged into its undamaged eye. This one hit a more valuable sector of the brain. One last cry... and it crumpled to the ground, fluids draining from the wounds. I gaze down upon the creature. "I am sorry it had to come to this, but it had to be", my voice trails off. I despise kil!ing, I really do. "Well, time to head back to HQ". I feel empty. (end of story)
