"Quite alright. He can actually be back to training tomorrow afternoon. You're lucky you were nearby."
Garson heard voices. He slowly opened his eyes, bleary and feeling groggy. "Nnngh... W-... Wher-"
"Garson?" Tiff turned around and faced him.
"Ah. Good, you're awake. The drug wore off just in time for you to rest." Said a gray wolf covered in scars. He wore a labcoat and was stareing at monitors.
"Where am I?" Garson was layed down on a steel table. Rose to a sitting position and stared at Tiff for an answer.
"Calm down. This is our medical specialist Kyle Sharp. He fixed you up." Tiff explained.
A sharp pain shot through Garson's arm and shoulder.
"Try to rest easy tonight. The stitches will help heal the wound. But just for tonight, take a quick paink!ller. I've taken a few stray bullets in my time as a field medic. I know how you feel. You'll be just fine." Kyle said with a smile.
Garson was still in his robes. Tiff was in a simple t-shirt and shorts.

Clearly he had been out a while if Tiff was around the mansion leasurly. "Ngh... What time is it..?" Garson asked tiredly.
"Nearly an hour until midnight... You'd best be getting yourself out of your robes and getting some sleep if you want to be functional in the morning." Kyle told him. "Agreed..." Tiff yawned and left the room through a sliding glass door. Vario took her place, still in his black robes but hood down.
"Garson. You survived..." He greeted him with a pawshake.
"Aye... But just by the skin of my teeth... Those bas.tards did a number on me." Garson groweled.
"Not bad for a first fight... Keep that in mine my friend... Do not dwell on your shortcomings."
They were interupted when Kyle walked in reading text coming in on his tablet.
"Good to know he's stable. And it's good this won't effect his memory of him k!lling his entire older team. We need to keep that a secret from hi-... O-oh... Garson... You're awake." Lucas stopped awkwardly and set the tablet down.

Garson stared at Lucas, "W-... What do you mean... I-I would never do that..."
Lucas looked guiltily at him. "I'm sorry Garson... I thought you were still asleep... Zeel wanted me to keep it a secret..."
"So... I d-... I did..." Garson stood and walked towards the door. "Garson hold on." Vario tried to stop him but Garson bolted through the door.
"GARSON!" Vario chased him through the mansion.

Garson stood on the ledge of the mansion, the silver moonlight cast across him.
He let out a deep breathe and stared at the night sky.
"You're not thinking of doing what I think you'll do are you?" Vario had followed him to the rooftop.
"... No... I thought about it... Hhh... How could I... I don't even remember..." Garson sat down, letting his legs hang over the edge.
"One day I'll tell you why... But you're not a monster. You're a strong fighter and comerad."
"... Am I really as evil as Astra thought?"
Vario groweled. "Enough! ... If you were as bad as you think you are, then I would have-

k!lled you by now. You're not a failure. And your not evil... Pull your head from whatever rut it's stuck in and do what the Protectors do best... Protect your friends Garson... You have for this long... One slip up doesn't make you horrible... One more thing. Take this."
Vario threw him a bracer.
"It's a hidden blade. Use it carefully." Vario warned.
"... I'll keep them safe... If it k!lls me." Garson said.
"Good... Now get to bed. We have a long day."
"What are we doing?" Garson asked.
"... You, are going to find Lesaro."
