Fern by Mina the Demon
In a futuristic, yet more primitive world, new creatures and wildlife replace the ones of old. Fern was once human, but due to a mutation where her skin looked like bark and leaves sprouted from her hair, she was kicked out of her small village at the age of 14. She had to survive on her own but after nearly dying at the claws of a Treestalker (will be drawing that next) she quickly realized she was not going to make it.

The surrounding forest witnessed her great fight and took her into the canopy. They comforted her and gave her a Life Seed,a golfball sized seed that helps creatures like Fern to control their abilities.
Then with the forests help, they taught her to fight, hunt, and survive in the dangerous world.

The picture of Fern I drew here is when her seed matured and sprouted, something that happens for every Yeron when their powers reach their full potential. They sprout wings and somtimes horns, and the colors on their wings are a reflection of their abilities. Fern's colors are red, purple, and yellow because she has the rare ability to produce poisons.

A long with her poison abilities, she is the only Yeron who's vines (that rest beneath the skin) have thorns. Also, she can control the dangerously invasive and mobile Poisonwood Forest.
