behind me, malum stood with the smoking barrel of a gun pointed straight at me. his mouth twisted into an ugly smile as selina screamed once more and pulled out her own gun, shooting the bas.tard three times in the chest. malum stumbled back, blo.od spilling out of his mouth as he lost his grip on the human world. his body dissolved into the cracked pavement, hell reclaiming the demon it had released so long ago. selina lowered her gun, red eyes filled with tears. her gaze then turned from the spot malum had once been to andrew shaking and gasping for breath.

she ran over to me, but i knew it was too late. the bullet had punctured one of my lungs and my breathing was labored as i drowned in my own blo.od. 's-s...'i tried to speak, blo.od gurgling out of my mouth and filling my nose with its hot stench. selina kneeled down esides me, grabbing my head and slapping my cheek. 'andy?! andy stay with me!' i moaned, trying desperately to keep my eyes open. 'andy please! dont leave me... we won andy... we beat malum...' she was crying now, but i could hardly hear her. already i felt my body going numb, the pain subsiding to a dull ache. i was so tired...

'ANDY PLEASE!' she sobbed, shaking my body slightly. 'stay with me!!' my eyelids fluttered open, barely focusing on her tear stained face as i used the last of the stength i had to put my hand on her cheek. her hand immediatly covered mine, squeezing it softly. 'dont leave me...' her voice cracked and her faced twisted in anguish. i could hear a siren now. my breathing was slowing and i felt my arm grow heavier. my body was ready to give up, to just die, but i couldnt leave selina. not yet.

'please' she whispered. i felt my mind go blank and my fingers slipped out of hers. my arm dropped lifelessly across my chest as i exhaled my last breath in a gurgly sigh. the light left my eyes and i felt no more pain. no more sorrow. no more anything.
