yea! i like shading like this too. instead of blacks or grey, which make it look cartoony, i use darker shades of my base color and make it look organic. :]

*le gasp* Do my eyes decieve me?! Sonic the pony?! This is amazingly done! His expression is perfect, the colors are amazing, and it looks so much like Sonic, I could immediately tell. The shading is spectacular, as well as the shading style! Fantastic job!!! :3
