Winter's life started out great with these guys, but sorrow followed her after this was painted. Her father fell to arrogance, and wasn't seen too much. One night her mother, Claire, confronted him on his terrible state. She came to her children in tears, only to find them being attacked by a black and red cloud. Claire immidiately jumped into action. She managed to fight off the creature, but it came with a cost, her death.

Two years passed and Winter and her sister, Layla, were ignored, beated, and basically en.slav.ed. All of this occured, and the kingdom was completely unaware. One day, Layla became gravely ill. Bedridden for a year, she was miserable. As impossible as it seemed, she escaped the illness, and became blind. But their horrors hadn't ended there...
