I think the skin color looks perfect!

errr.. its failed on the left cheeks, left eye and left shoulder... and there is black-ish shading.. arrgghh..

i think importing picture is absolutely legal, and it can help you alot.. and that's why Colors! provide that tool, so we can use it wisely.. :)

Even with blackish shading, I think it looks fine, it's nearly unnoticeable, and I honestly think the left side is just as good as the right. (Even if that shoulder needs some work)
It's still much better than I could ever do.. T^T

Astounding portrait, so realistic! You could maybe try putting a very faint white layer over the top of the painting. You would have to paint over the hair and darker areas again but it might make the face appear lighter.

and i know what you mean about the gray-ish shade, it happen to me also, it because of the brush intensity so try to increase the intensity a bit, or re-adjust the colour to a brighter shade after using the water-drop, it'll help sometime,
but this look very perfect, the way you shade are also very beautiful <3

It's funny how you can point out you're own mistakes, say it sucks, but then no one else can even see them XD Seams about as perfect as it gets to me ^-^

@Adjudicator_ humm.. maybe its because i'm perfectionist :p, but you can do that too..
the trick is:
1. when you draw something look it from far way (especially for proportion/anatomy correction)
2. close your painting, then do other work, lalala, then look it again, where is the 'flaw' point
3. watch the playback again and again

i know what you mean, it is hard getting the right skin tone. nonetheless i don't see anything wrong with this, it looks amazing!. great work!

@Major Tom_ ok, got it. the only reason for me using brush tool is to get smooth blend, sometimes if you're using pen tool it will give a little line due color contrast and its not suitable for this style, but maybe you're right on light over darker, i'll try it later.. thank you.. :)
