Be yourself. If others don't like it, try to stay away from them. Maybe report them if it gets really bad. I have found, ignoring them, or just being really nice works.

Rumors spread fast, it's true, but hopefully it'll have lessened after summer? If not, I've found that laughing off their taunts makes them less inclined to tease you. If they think it's bothering you, they're more likely to continue than if you act like it's just a silly joke and not take it seriously.
