Within seconds, their swords clashed. Nether star colliding with Ender crystal. From there, Carina and Enderon unleashed a frenzy of strikes and counters. To Enderon's slight surprise and amusement, Carina was already proving to be more of a challenge than Notch as he already had several cuts. But, she wouldn't last. Enderon wasn't about to lose. He had come much to far to fail now.
As Carina went to strike again with the glowing white blade, Enderon teleported behind her and slashed her back. Carina staggered and fell forward. Enderon prepared to use telekenisis, but Carina quickly formed a shield of aura around her. To both their surprise, it blocked out Enderon's power. With blood running from her back, Carina struggled to her feet. "Hmm, it's impressive, i'll give you that, but it will take more than that to win against me!" he told her and fired a dark purple charge of aura. It was too much for Carina to take. The glistening blue barrier around her shattered.

The impact sent Carina crashing back. As she tried to stand, blue and purple sparks crackled around her body. Taking his chance, Enderon sprinted forward, sword upraised, both blades glowing brightly. Rescting quickly, Carina managed to lift her sword in defense, ready to block the attack. One of the ender crystal blades came crashing down. There was a sudden deafening crack. Carina Notch and Herobrine's eyes widened in shock, as the star saber's blade smashed to pieces. "...i-it's not possible!" Notch started "How did he? N-not even i could break it!" Herobrine exclaimed. Carina backed away, not wanting to believe what had happened. Enderon let out a laugh laced with evil as he advanced, shards of the saber crunching underfoot. "Hmhmhm, i told you it would take more than that to defeat me didn't i?" he asked mockingly as he quickly lifted Carina by the neck and flung her against the stone railing. She landed between Notch and Herobrine, and there she stayed. She couldn't move.

None of them could.
"Now, before i finish this once and for all, i have a little story to tell. Now, Herobrine, you won't remember this, but you weren't always evil. You were once like Notch, kind hearted. But one night, that changed. How do i know? I was the one to make that change" Enderon paused. Herobrine and Carina stared wide-eyed, Notch clenched his fists "You? You were the one?!" he exclaimed. Enderon nodded, a sickening smile on his face. "Yes. Since you don't remember this Herobrine, allow me to help you. Since to this day i've been unable to leave the End, i sent Soul to the overworld one night. He came to you looking for help. You agreed without question. He took you to the End, to me. The moment you arrived, i pulsed enough ender essence into you to corrupt you, but a small enough amount for you to have some element of free will" Enderon paused. As he'd spoke, the memory of the dream came to Herobrine. His double he'd seen had beem him before Enderon's darkness took over.

It all made sense now. "So with Herobrine under my infkuence, i had him betray you Notch. But after you defeated him, i devised a new plan. One that would not fail no matter the outcome. So in other words, all of this has been planned. I've influenced every event leading up to now in some way or another" Enderon finished. "But why?!" Carina exclaimed "Simple. Revenge. Notch, Herobrine, you created Minecraftia from scratch, but your first living creation, was me. But something went wrong. You considered me a failed attempt and i was cast aside into the darkness that remained. But as that shadowy void formed the End, i formed with it. But soon it won't matter anymore. Now where to start? Hmm, ladies first" he smirked and lifted Carina with telekenisis, forming a charge strong enough to finish her off. She tried to move, to form an attack of her own but couldn't. This was her end. Enderon aimed straight for her heart. "Vengence is mine"

Time seemed to stop. An eerie silence fell. Then things got back to speed as Enderon's attack faded. His breath caught in his throat and came out in rasps. His eye of ender was cracked, a blade's blood covered tip pierced his chest, dark almost black blood ran from it. Carina returned to the floor. A familiar voice spoke. "You may have been both, but you were always to human to be ender" Sage told him and pulled out the sword. Enderon, lifeless, collapsed to his kness then fell forward. His eye of ender shattered, releasing the ender essence within. It slowly faded away. In the courtyard, Kai, Zk, Carlos and Stm suddenly stopped. The purple rims of light in their eyes disappeared. They were free. Knowing exactly what had happened, Lee and Endermage retreated.
On the platform, Sage was joined by Endie, Boom and a white ender. "Guys!" Carina exclaimed as she struggled to stand. Endie quickly caught her as she fell. "I thought i'd never see you again...but i don't understand." she said

Carina looked over Endie's shoulder at Sage. "Ah ah, heal firssst, talk later" Boom replied "Heal?" Notch asked. The white ender stepped forward "Yes. I can heal you, but it seems my power's better than i thought" she answered, glancing at Sage, the fatal wound in his chest now just a scar.
While the ender, Eva, healed them in the courtyard, Endie and Sage explained everything to everyone.
While Eva healed the others, the last of the ender essence vanished. Herobrine suddenly fell back. "Herobrine!" Notch exclaimed as he caught him just in time. "Are you alright?" he asked. As Herobrine tried to answer, he slowly opened his eyes. The white glow was gone. Deep blue irises took it's place. After all this time, Herobrine had finally been released. "N-notch? i...i'm back!" he announced. Notch immediatly hugged him, not sure what to say. Carina couldn't believe it either. Things truly had gone back to the way they were.

Then, tears began to run down Herobrine's face. "..Notch..i'm so sorry...f-for everything i've done....i c-can remember it all....the pain i've caused...the damage i've done...i-i'm so sorry!" he cried. "..Herobrine...i forgive you" Notch told him "..Thank you...But...i'll never be able to forgive myself.." Herobrine trailed off as he stepped back. Suddenly a hand was placed on his shoulder. He looked to see Carina "...Listen...what's past is past, you can't change that, but the future is an open book. Everyone deserves a second chance...use it wisely" she finished with a nod, then returned to the others. Notch put an arm around Herobrine "She's right. From now on the story is your own. Time will heal the emotional scars. Now, let's go home" he told him. Herobrine looked out at the portal in the distance. "Our home"

Moments before that, a shadow had fell on the platform and disappeared just as quick. Now, with two things in hand, Soul stood by the open portal. "Enjoy the victory while you can. Nothing lasts forever. And our absence is no exception. We will return!" he announced and stepped through into the overworld.
Just as planned.
