Well, I tend to make sloppy sketches of ideas that just randomly pop in my head and I usually have a lot of ideas... but I don't consider those wips until I start the actual lineart. That being said, I probably only have 3 wips but I have plenty of sketches :P

Alright, so for darker shading, (as in a direct shadow and not shadows from features) I take black (with the size at the largest and on the regular drawing 'tip' aka the top one) and make the opacity really low. I begin drawing over the whole layer ( the layer being on a separate layer above the part I want to have the shadow). I keep going over the image until I get the amount of darkness I want for the shadow. (hopefully that wasn't too confusing!) Now for feature shadows, I actually just tend to guess. Just memorize places on clothing and anatomy that have shadows and blur those areas with a darker color accordingly! (It is something you really just have to get used to doing!)

For animes...I'd have to say that MekakuCity Actors is one of my favs because I read the manga first (the only manga I've ever read, suprisingly!) Also, I really liked Puella Magi Madoka Magica ( no matter what anyone says >:c), Soul Eater (which I still haven't finished...) and Attack on Titan. There are more but I think that will do for now xD

I like Attack on Titans music. Soul Eater is funny! Death the Kid is my favorite!! Who's your favorite Soul Eater character? :p Sorry for asking so many questions! Tell me if it annoys you. I won't take offense. :p

I never actually listened to the full ost of AoT so I wouldn't know xD I do like the first intro song, though! Death the Kid is my favorite too o-o'

It's alright, don't worry about it at all :D. I tried watching H.o.t.D but I just couldn't get over the women's bodies aka the unecessary fanservice...it just drove me insane but I have heard it is actually good despite that! Oh and I hope those tips will help. Feel free to asl for any other tips whenever and I'll try my best to help!

Yeah I agree. Fan service just ruins the anime (at least for me). OMYGOSH I forgot about Black Butler :O that anime was amazing, too! Alright, haha back on subject...no, I have not ever watched Death Note, sadly.

I think I just take fan service badly because I'm a girl and it is so hard to see women portrayed/degraded in that way.
I feel as though I have heard of Elfen Lied,though but I don't know anything about it nor have I seen Fairy Tail ( but I really need to).

It has a what would be a boring concept but it can be an anime you'd love to see!! :D Oh and no real fan service. Only Misa, but no groping of sorts, but Light Yagami actualy doesn't ccare much for her. Plus maybe the art style may be intriguing for dramatic effect!! Are you into drawing mechs, concept?

Yeah, a lot of the people that I know have seen Death Note and loved it >w< so it must be pretty good! ...Mechs? Well, I've never actually tried to draw a mech but mechs are awesome so maybe I should look into that xP.

I have three cats, 2 are tabbies(?) (orange long-haired, and black short-haired), and the other is a turkish angora (white, long-haired).
