Ok so i know i haven't been talking about TSL that much. But im working on it. im trying to figuer out how to start chapter 6. When Mark is 4 years old, and is just starting to go to school. Im trying to set up the events that happen up to that point...
But what we do know is how it starts from the old comic #ATHS.

I'm sure you'll find a way.
You don't have to explain everything at first. You could leave some things a mystery. For example the name of the school/teachers. The reader will hear those names a lot and then realise what it is.
That way you don't need to explain everything and some parts of the story will be less boring.

...Or not, idk do what feels right. Sometimes I act like I know everything, but it's not like I have a fully made story >.<
I just noticed that some stories don't explain everything, but it's those little details where you find out about some interesting things.
