Collin's battle with a beast from the Afterplane that destroyed his home city, resulting in his becoming a Revenant

A lone survivor of a slaughter stared down the evil monster. Its presence was suffocating, and the ghastly wound in his side didn't help things. His strength was waning. He knew he had only one bout left in him. Ignoring the agony of movement, he shakily stood and drew his sword up. The beast expelled a massive breath attack, as he stood his ground one last time
