depend on what you like, to me I like background, such as a forest or a desert, with a twist to give a story, for instance a corn land with a cross in the middle, story can flow from it, like you see this cross, this was where people met to sacrifice a goat for the gods to gather good corns each year. see a background you can add any story from it and with a character, any wild imagination can then create stories.
