Well Mr Collins, this is fantastic, loved the replay, it's amazing how quick your portrait work has improved, I've almost finished the practice portrait I am attempting, it's been a good experience for me learning the proportions, skin tones ect, I finally got the hair to look ok but it was a struggle ha ha, I was well out of my landscape comfort zone, again great work with this, well done :) *+
@Gaz: I can't wait to see your portrait work. It would be interesting to see how the style you use for your landscapes will look on a portrait painting. I think I still have a long way to go with my portrait practice, especially with proportions, but I do feel that I'm improving.
I like this! I like the way you portraited this, his eyes are shut and i like the dark feeling to it, like he is standing in a cave or something trying to escape the reality :)
Hi m.collins, yeah you've really come on leaps and bounds :) that's great, the portrait I'm doing isn't in the style you are used to seeing from me on here, I didn't intend to post it as it was just practice and the replay is full of errors and corrections haha, ( lots and lots) , my intention was to get the hang of doing a portrait then paint another from scratch to post without all the basic mistakes in the replay. But having said that I suppose errors and corrections are all part of the learning process so I shouldn't worry too much about replays, when I've finished with it ill post it for you to view, I'll look forward to your opinion good or bad :) I'm off to snowdonia again in 3 weeks so will be back into my landscapes again, :)
I'm quite intrigued as to how your painting is going to look, I look forward to seeing it. My playbacks are all full of errors and corrections, I don't mind it as long as I'm happy with the end product.
@Cydnie: You definitely have the talent. I want to become more patient to be honest, I still rush my paintings and leave areas half done. I'm planning on spending a lot more time on my next painting but I have exams soon so it will be a while until I can start a new one.

@fridagrr: Thanks. To be honest I didn't put much thought into the feeling of the painting, but I like your interpretation!
