thisisanotherreligionrantsoifyoudon'tlikethatkindofthingleave

so a few weeks ago i told mum that i'm an atheist (smart move Deni) and a few days later she comes to me. "i bought this book and i'm going to quit smoking. there's one condition tho, believe in god"
*facepalm* no mum belief doesn't work that way

don't take this the wrong way, religion can be truly fascinating, and so are fairy tales but just because i like reading them it doesn't mean i have to believe in fairies.

I'm LDS but I've never been the super religious type :U
I mean yeah I'll go to church and the activities and all but on my own terms. Lately my mom has been forcing me to go to church, the activities, everything and while yeah their interesting I HATE being told/forced to do things
So while I love my mom and all it's getting really annoying with how she's forcing me to go because if people force me to do things then I start to dislike the activity
So yeah. I know how you feel :T

hhhh i know how that goes -A-
Ive told my father my beliefs (or lack thereof) at least... 4 times? yeah
he still wants me to go to church (while he doesnt??) because its the ''right thing to do''. its just
i respect your beliefs and decisions, please respect mine :< im sorry about this!

I'm forced to go to church every once in a while. >.>"
I agree with what you said. Me personaly, I preffer to make my own belliefs...
I try to stay out of religous stuff. It tends to tear people apart from what I've seen. But, that is just me.
But all in all, I compleatly agree with you.

This kind of shi.te makes me glad that I grew up in an athiest/thiest household where I didn't have to "come out". I would also hope that, even if my mom was christian, she would be alright, and accept my beliefs (I hope,at least).
