For Future Preparation by ZueltheCat

Yeah, I actually look like this right now. I like it.

#ZueltheCat

So, I pretty much graduated Junior High school today. Best and worst day of the year. When I get back to school, I'll be a Freshman, bottom of the food chain once again. I just want to be prepared for what's to come, so anyone in High School now have any advice? I know what'll it'll be like once I graduate there, since I went to my brother's graduation. So yup. Advice?

Honestly?
The hardest part is finding a reason to get out of bed each morning.
Friends, sure.
The odd good class, sure.
But it's about as repetitive as you'll ever see. Finding a purpose, some greater project, is essential. Something looking toward the future.

Pickler's right. The classes are all useless.
Well, perhaps not all.
Depending on electives, some stuff could be helpful down the road. Luckily, it's usually easy to identify whether the info is helpful or not.

Maybe this is helpful.
Probably not.
Yet.
Perhaps in a few months.

You have to learn to adapt quickly and challenge yourself.
My freshman year went smooth as ice because I didn't let myself be new. I strove in every aspect to be one step ahead. After the first half of the year, it starts to come naturally.
Rep: Yeah... am feeling a bit better...

Lucky. I'm still in school for a couple weeks.
I'm gonna read through the advice in this painting though. Because I might need it in a few months.

Join a club, like Drama, Art Club, most high schools have a MUCH wider variety of these. Even groups for guitar players!
They'll be good for meeting more people with common interests.

Well, if you ever need a.ssistance, I'll be in G10. :P

-Take a math class every year. This is to help you do better in your math placement exam during your senior year if you want to go to a community college or university. The placement exam tells you what math classes you are allowed to take. Some classes are remedial and don't count for GE (general education: the classes everyone needs to take regardless of major)(algebra 2 and lower), and anything higher than algebra 2 can be used for GE credit (college algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, statistics, and higher level classes)
-Take all of the fun classes (ceramics, engineering, psychology, etc) you can find.
-Take a foreign language class. Choose one that you find interesting. :D I took Japanese.
