[continued story, desc. ran out of space]
so instead of com.menting here and finding it again, I decided to just tap the version I downloaded...

BUT I CAN'T

every single time it tries to load the painting, I get an error and a crash.
it's either
- screens turn black w-message 'error occurred - turn off your 3ds'
- it kicks me to the home menu with a popup saying 'an error occurred and the program closed - your 3ds will now be restarted [press A]'
so yeah.rage.
The most logical reason I can think of is that the colors!3d app doesn't include any japanese characters, but the site does. this means that, because the description is in japanese, that unless I'm on the online part c3d will not be able to open any japanese text without crashing.
THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM
Why? because if I can't even chack the description on my own, then I CANNOT DELETE THE PAINTING EITHER
...

Oh uhhhhh, I really wish I could help but I'm not good at this kind of stuff... I hope you manage to figure out how to access the painting without your system crashing.

Wow that's quite a predicament : S hopefully this problem will be resolved soon. That is so weird though...
