As long as certain characters don't make it in, I'm happy. So news like this reduces chances for others to get in.

I found out Ike is returning yesterday! He was my fav in SSBB next to Lucario!

It isn't a rumor. Sakurai posted the news on Miiverse.

I wouldn't be too confident about leaks, none of us really knows until sakuri reveals them. Even if your absolutely sure a characters going to be in, theres still a big excitement when there revealed, just the fact they're offically in get's us going, so I think you should still be excited for E3 characters as there's still an element of surprise waiting to happen, just a hunch

I dont buy any leaks. They're NEVER accurate. The only 2 characters i think actually are coming are Paulentina and Pac-Man.

I wish I could, it's just not that simple with me. The guy who came up with this info also leaked Villager, Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, and Little Mac before they were even revealed by Sakurai. The remaining leaked characters don't seem as interesting as the ones that were already announced, and I can't see myself getting excited over them now, especially since I know they're comming. This is frustrating to me personally because I really wanted to be surprised this time. I was even going to take time off of colors to make sure some random person didn't spoil it for me (because there seem to be people who will just tell me things as soon as they happen). I'm not saying I wont find a future reveal exciting and there is a possibility the leak is fake, I just don't know yet.

I'm just going to focus on what's already been revealed. I get to play as Lucario still and I'm really looking foward to Smash Run. So yeah, this leak isn't going to ruin my Smash experience, I'm just looking for other reasons to be excited for the game other than just its characters.

Pit: Well, hopefully they'll get in. I doubt Mewtwo will come back though...

About the Leak; I don´t take it all that seriously tbh.
Off all the goofball predictions peoole make some just have to be proven right eventually and when you pepper them with reasonable predictions that turn out to be correct you´ll soon be treated like a Smash Bros. oracle.
Like if I had said before her reveal that Rosalina will be a smash bros character and Megaman and Little Mac will be too too, it I´d be treated as a fully credible source as well.

Second of all, even IF the leak actually WAS legit the first time around, that doesn´t mean the second batch of information is legit as well, he could have just started guessing wildly once the information stopped flowing.

I think it´s interesting because it brings some characters into the discussion that people hadn´t really thought about before but I don´t really treat it as a credible source.
But we´ll see about this.
If the Choir Boyz make it in, I´d say it´s legitamate, the chance of hitting these oddball-choices two times in a row is like a million to one.

And there´s still a lot of secrets anyway, like which characters will return, which will be changed and how the newcomers will play (which is often the more interesting thing to find out). There´s also stages, items, modes and extras and still possible "unleaked" newcomers (after all Rosalina was never part of this)

Generally speaking, I also don´t think there will be many big secrets left by the time of the games release, I think Sakurai will reveal a lot of things before the game´s release to increase hype.
It´s not like you could keep these secrets anymore, the Internet plays too big of a role as compared to Melee. Better use information to your advantage instead of letting people spoil it for you.

I understand, don't get me wrong. I know the leak could very well be fake, I just have a strong concern that it isn't. The selection of characters in this reveal seem more convincing than something anyone on the internet could come up with (and I've seen a lot of commentary on this subject). Even I couldn't come up with something that I would believe to make up the final roster.

Again I'm not so upset about this that it'll ruin my perspective of the game. I'm really excited for so many of the features in this game, stages, music, items, Smash Run, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm not even saying I'd dislike the characters in the leak. I'm sure some of them could be really fun to play as. It's just that people are expecting me to do these reaction comics every time a new character is announced and while I've enjoyed doing them every time, it doesn't work unless I have something I can "react" to.

Bottom line, if the leak is proven fake, then great, I can keep having fun doing these comics. If it's real, then I'll still be excited for the game for other reasons, but I don't think anything will come up that would inspire me to do more comics (unless they reveal Mewtwo, because everyone knows I'd have to react to that).

I like Ike, but hopefully we get an Awakening rep.

I hope the leak is fake then... Do you mind telling me who the characters in the leak are?

B.Sahin: If you really want to know, you can find a video on youtube that talks about it. Just search for "Gematsu Leak" and it should be some of the first videos that pop up.

I'd ask that you not talk about the characters here in case there are people like me who want a sense of surprise.

You'll get no sympathy from me, Mewtwo. So glad Ike's back. He and Lucario were my 2 best people in Brawl! And apparently, they just revealed an item to let characters fly! A rocket jet pack thing, useful for those who have weak recoveries. *coughs Lil' Mac coughs*
As for concerns about Ness/Jigglypuff/CapFalcon: They were in all the games before, so why would Sakurai ruin their perfect attendance?

And TP, don't take that leak too seriously. That's just someone who is so bored, impatient that they just want more viewers. We knew about Mega from the very beginning. As soon as they said they were choosing another third party character to add.

I'm not as upset as I was when I first found out about it. Sorry if I sound that way. I'm just trying to make a point.
