While the Dragon Pack fled from the shadow-monsters and battle erupted throughout the Drosikes' territory, another part of the world lay in utter silence. It was a black jail-cell with iron bars in the door, impossible to break out of. Day and night, the cell was kept in constant twilight and there was no sound except for the cold, echoed dripping of water from the roof.

From the back of the tiny room, an animal lifted its head in the indistinct darkness and yawned massively, showing sharp white teeth. She stood and padded towards the barred door, where the candlelight was vaguely stronger. She was a powerful-looking silver wolf with clear ice-blue eyes.

'The guards are gone!' she whispered over her shoulder. 'Now's our chance.'

Two more creatures awoke and emerged from a corner of the cell, rushing over to stand beside the great she-wolf. The were strange beasts - unique, different. One was a grey-furred dragon with a bandanna tied around his neck, and the other was a feathered dragon whose mane mostly obscured her eyes.

'What did you say, Silver?' asked the feather-dragon in a hushed tone.

'The guards have gone to sleep,' answered the she-wolf. 'Now is our chance to find a way out of here. Maybe we can also discover who captured us, and WHY.'

Silver's two cellmates slowly nodded in agreement. 'But... how will we escape?' asked the fur-dragon, a nervous quiver in his voice.

Silver smiled grimly and, raising a claw, pointed at the ground underneath the cell door. 'The earth is softer here. I think we could dig our way out.'

'DIG?!' exclaimed the feather-dragon in a disbelieving voice. 'We can't dig through stone, even if it is softer than usual!'

But Silver shook her head and growled slightly. 'We don't have much time left before the guards wake up. We HAVE to escape now! Feather, Axel, leave this to me.'

Surprisingly, it only took a few minutes for Silver to claw a tunnel underneath the cell door, large enough for all of them to squeeze through. Axel was the last out, and he grinned in relief and ran up and down the corridor in front of their cell until Feather warned him to be quiet.

'So, what now, do you think?' whispered Silver as she shook earth out of her coat. After digging out of the cell, she seemed unsure where to go next. Feather was also concerned.

'It's simple,' murmured Axel as he stopped charging around. 'We explore this jail, find out who captured us and learn abput their plans!'

The others silently considered this idea, then Feather nodded.

'We've no better idea,' she said determinedly, rustling her wings. 'These guys who kidnapped us are probably evil, so we should try to figure out what they're doing, and why!'

Silver narrowed her eyes, upper lip curling in a faint snarl as she thought about this. 'It will be dangerous,' she hissed. 'We'll have to sneak around quietly... But I'm on your side. Of course I'll help you.'

Axel bowed his head gratefully and Feather set off walking up the corridor at a brisk, but silent pace. 'Hurry,' she called back.

'We're coming!' growled Axel and Silver at the same time. On stealthy paws, they ran off in pursuit of their companion.

Sounds awesome! I like the change between characters and scene at this point! But Spook hasn't really been mentioned in the last couple chapters. It's alright it's your story after all. Everything else is really well written and I love the describing words you used! :D

(Spook) Thanks! :) And sorry about that; it's just difficult to keep up when I have so many characters in the same story. I'm not leaving anyone out on purpose.
