It is. Not only great graphics and mind-blowing portal physics, it has a great storyline. The plot developes around you as you go.
I guess that makes up for all the loading screens.

I own the first one, it was awesome!(Loved the end credit music piece!...hilarious) My 360 died a red death before I could play the 2nd one:( Nice job on this piece! btw, your right it does deserve more art on it.

I finished the second one, hoping to get the first soon. Probably would have been better to do them in order. :/

Exactly. It has a great sense of humor, and the lines are beautifully voiced. And they still managed to give it a dark, mysterious plot.

Although Pokemon Y may have more hours clocked in, the Portal series is by far my favourite games. Portal 2 is my favourite game of all time, with (in my opinion) a stunning soundtrack, atmospheric level design, an amazingly dark but still hilarious script... and who can forget the way the environment "sings", with cubes, gel and lasers adding to the music.
Oh, and the mechanics are just simple enough to make you wonder why it's not been thought of before, but complex enough to make it always surprise you.
You can keep your Skyrim, CoD and GTA, Portal and its sequel are my perfect games.
