Love and Light by Eph 5:8

I still like my old profile and I'm too lazy to draw a new one. :P I just updated my age (today's my birthday, wheee) and changed a couple things.

I remember seeing your old one on newest paintings, and I guess I stumbled across it again in the same place.

Happy birthday! You're on my level now.

Today's a big day for me, too. Long story short, I currently have six baby chickens that just hatched today on my lap as I type this because they wouldn't shut up and I'm their momma.

They're fuzzy.

It is, actually, in a way. The embryo develops from the yolk. The clear stuff is extra space that's later on absorbed by the baby.
The yolk is where the embryo gets all its nutrients and genetic info; in a way, the yolk is the actual reproductive egg.
If you did an experiment and sliced open a newly hatched chick, you'd see their stomach is full of extra yolk. They don't have to eat for a few days after they hatch because of this.
If you crack open a fertilized egg, you might see a couple of blood vessels all over the yolk. At that point the yolk is just a big, gooey chick...without anything looking like a chick.

I've never hatched chicks, let alone breed chickens; always bought 'em a day old. Not 100 percent sure about the process.
TL;DR--Yes, the yolk is actually the chick.
