Sweet! Swampert was the first Hoenn starter I got. He's amazing! I am going to name my starter (mudkip) Maynard.

@pokeflamey When a pokemon mega evolves it gets a new ability or the ability stays the same so in swamperts case when swampert un-evolved has the ability torrent but when he megas he has sap sipper! sap sipper makes grass moves unaffective against swampert.

My first pokemon i ever had was Mudkip, but back then i never nicknamed him.....Until he was a Swampert and about Lv73 and i lamely named him 'Swampy', but now i might name him 'Marty' from my OC.

re: i dont WANT the game to be easy. Games nowadays are cake as compared to games 20-30 years ago. I've dominated all too many pokemon games (up til battle frontier stuff cuz i sucked there lol) I like some challenge, plus i have a strategy with Kyogre and I'm sticking to Swampert.

I want my attacks to do less damage so i have to think and strategize to win, not just blow everyone away cuz i have a type advantage. Plus from what i've just read, seems like i'll have an easy time with the gyms anyway. If i'm going to pay $40 on a game i want to have it last.
