Shortly after six became five, Notch, Viper, Void, Peter and Matt stood around the incomplete End portal. "Are you sure this'll work?" Matt asked "It has to. If Herobrine has made allies in the End, and Sage has taken Carina, we don't have much time" Notch replied. Staring at the stone floor, Peter nervously asked "..But, what would he want her for?" "...My best guess is that my brother has found a way to finish what he's started" Notch answered and began placing down the eyes of ender. The portal's frame was larger than normal, but at the current time, that was besides the point. Time was short, but for some it was running out fast.

Carina had tried several times to break free from the obsidian chains that held her in place, but each attempt had literally ended in shock. On each occasion, Carina had grabbed the chains and blasted aura into them. But for the damage she did, an electrical energy ran down the metal lengths, shocking her. The most previous had been the worst. Carina collapsed to her knees and winced in pain as she waited for the purple sparks to subside. As they did so, the cell door opened, and Herobrine stepped inside. "Tell me, how many times do you intend to repeat that?" he asked as he closed the door and walked over, his eyes glowing intensely. Carina didn't reply, keeping her head hung low as the final few sparks ceased. Herobrine knelt down and lifted her chin. "Finally accepting defeat, are we?" he asked menacingly. Carina clenched her fists. "..F*ck you" she told him through gritted teeth, her voice coated in hatred.

Herobrine smirked "Hmm, looks like you've still got some fight left in you" he paused, putting his hand on the side of her face. "Keep it that way" he added and struck the side of her head. He stood up and walked back to the door, stopping as Carina spoke again. "..Heh, i never thought i'd see the day where the almightly ruler of night would be taking orders from someone else" "I take orders from no one! We are in an alliance, nothing more" Herobrine replied as he opened the door. "Humph, Enderon's got a darker heart than you and thats saying something. Your little alliance isn't going to last" Carina finished. Herobrine ignored her as he left the room, but he couldn't ignore the fact that there's truth in her words. Could Enderon really be trusted?

In another part of the stronghold, Endie and Boom were returned to their cell. As Sage redid Endie's shackles, he looked at the other prisoner. "Well Enderdude, looks like your friend kept his part of the deal. When this is all over, you're free to go" he told the ender "What are you talking about?" Enderdude asked "You see, me and your little friend Peter had a chat. In exchange for your freedom, Peter had to do us a little favour" Sage paused and looked at Endie "And that favour was to betray Carina, making her capture simple. It's funny really, how things can work out" Sage smirked as he turned to leave "...You're right, it is. I heard what happened" Endie suddenly said. Sage stopped dead in his tracks and turmed to face him. "What do you mean?" he asked "You know exactly what i mean Sage, and i'm sorry, i really am" Endie answered "..Humph, don't waste your time, i forgot about that a long time ago" Sage replied and turned away.

"Have you? Have you really Sage? You don't have to be like this. It won't change the past" Endie told him. Sage didn't reply. He couldn't. Gripping his ender blade tightly, he simply left the room, slamming the door behind him.
Some time later, Eva teleported inside "...I'm sorry about everything that's happened...but i'm now certain Skull has the key. I just need to find a way to get it from him. We'll get out of this yet".

Enderon stood on the balcony overlooking the End. "Everything's going perfectly, exactly as planned so long ago" he thought, then turned to face Soul, a smirk on his face. "It's time to tie up loose ends".
