Funny story about that, actually. 'Tang' is derived from the first character I'd ever made, a weird furry-mutant-bengal tiger thing named Tangi (pronounced tan-jee). THAT was short for Tangerine, but also a pun of the fact that she was part tiger. I've long since abandoned the character and her surrounding universe for a variety of reasons, mostly because of plotholes, inconsistencies, and the fact that I've recently become an advocate against genetic modification. I might revisit the silly 'ol thing just for the sake of some fun sketches, but I highly doubt she'll ever get her spot in the limelight.
...Lesson learned: Never make fun of people who think something is right that you don't think is right. Because they might actually be right, and you will look like a haughty ignoramus. :P

Aw! They sound adorable.
Have you ever heard anyone say that "the yolk of the egg was the baby chicken"? I have seriously heard this from people who thought it was true...
