So umm... Yeh, that is supposed to be some sort of northern lights. I just happen to be awful at art so that's all you get. :P
So I found this OC online and I liked his design And I drew him and made him look way worse than he did on the pic I saw online. Oh well. I forgot their cutiemark too and I couldn't find the pic again so I just made one up. Woah, I just noticed this reminds me a little of @Explendesco . That's kinds cool. See ya all later I guess.

To answer your question on Beany's painting, they haven't been very active, and the kingdom is a recent inside joke. Otherwise that picture would be fuuull of ponies :P
