Here's the name jokes:
Markus is the first name of Notch, Minecraft's ex-head programmer, and B. Narri is meant to sound like 'Binary'.
Erica Lechtrahn becomes E. Lechtrahn, or 'Electron'.
Lyss Kalaigh becomes L. Kalaigh, or Alkalai.
Tylan Fe Wicket becomes Ty Fe W., or Ti Fe W. Those are the periodic symbols for the metals Titanium, Iron, and Tungsten, respectively. Oh, and his initials could be seen as T. W.
