Petal flung her body into the burning forest. She couldn't see the great pine from the sky in this smoke so her only chance of finding her family was on foot. She sprinted between groups of licking tongues of fire only to find her paw throbbing with heat and pain. The she-wolf tripped, and tumbled into the wall of fire before her to never speak again.
