Prologue
Riverstar and Lilywind sat inside the medicine tree. "Sit still, it will hurt more if you move you out of all cats should know this!" said the tan she-cat, she held herbs in her mouth and seemed to be tending to Riverstar who was lying in a moss nest with a wounded back paw. "You should really take care of yourself more..." mewed Lilywind quietly "No promises. So what i really wanted to ask you is... has starclan talked to you yet?" Riverstar mumbled "Starclan? Not for a long time Riverstar, why bring this up?" Lilywind looked down at him worried "You all of cats should know" he said mocking her "Funny...maybe you can go back to camp with a broken paw and no tail" "Its about the kits." Riverstar whispered "Of course its a tradition...nothing has come up yet but telling me their names might help." Lilywind hissed Riverstar sat up "Talonkit, Owlkit and Foxkit" Lilywind stood still and stared at the den wall "Then starclan has spoken..."

Chapter 1- When we had it all...
"I'm so excited!" Foxkit said jumping "I think i'm gonna be sick" Talonkit said nervously "ohh don't be mousebr-" "Foxkit leave your brother alone" hissed a slender ginger taby she-cat. "Okay mama...sooo Talonkit you excited where gonna be sharing a den with Owlpaw again! hey mama why did Owlpaw become an apprentice before us you know we are a litter and al-" "Shhh Foxkit you'll wake the queens and kits if not the whole clan with that mouth of yours!" Sandwing hissed once more at her kit "When will we be going?"
Talonkit mewed "When your father calls you." Talonkit peaked out of the den and heard Riverstar call for them "All cats old enough to hunt for prey, gather under the leaders stand for a clan meeting." Riverstar finished "Thats us!" Foxkit squealed "Foxkit behave yourself and you to Talonkit"
"We are gathered here today because two kits have turned 6 moons old and are old enough to become apprentices.Talonkit step forward."

"Talonkit do you wish to uphold the warrior code even at the cost of your own life?" "I do!" Talonkit said nervously "Then i Riverstar leader of sunclan name you Talonpaw apprentice of sunclan i hope starclan will guide you on your path to becoming a warrior." Talonpaw looked down at the crowd of cats cheering and chanting his new name "Batstripe as deputy of sunclan you have already taught some of our best warriors, your wisdom and great skills are a great thing to have as a warrior i would like you to pass down these qualities of yours to Talonpaw" Batstripe lowered his head "It would be an honor" Riverstar nodded to Talonpaw who then touched noses with the dark tabby.
"Foxkit do you wish to uphold the warrior code even at the cost of your own life?" "I do!!" Foxkit mewed loudly "Then i Riverstar grant you the title of Foxpaw apprentice of sunclan" Once again the cheers and chants rose from the crowd
