Appendages asplendages. by CrazyRiverOtter

I seriously don't know, though. All of my drawings are starting to look stiff, and it's mostly because I don't get how to put pieces together. Any tips?

Try glue.

No, but really. I recommend drawing them in different poses until you get the jist of it. Practice makes perfect after all.

I do try sketches first, but I can't even get them right then. It's hard to get better through practice if I end up practicing it wrong, anyway.

Hmm, maybe try exaggerating features and making them more cartoon like, then they feel more free and not like shop dummy's.
But hey what do I know.

Try thinking of it along the line of skeletons, imagine how the bones and points would work. Sketch out a skeleton-system and then add meat and flesh to the drawing...

Ah, good idea Larka!
