I AM DONE WITH EVERYTHING. MY MOM IS MAKING ME GO TO A 3-DAY "ACTIVITY" THAT I'VE REPEATEDLY SAID NO TO IN JUNE. SHE'S SAID IT'S GOING TO HELP ME BUT I DON'T NEED OR WANT ANYTHING ON THE SCHEDULE. PARENTS DO SO MANY THINGS WRONG AND I HATE IT SO MUCH. ON TOP OF THAT AWFUL NOTE, I'M IN A SITUATION WITH MY FRIENDS(IRL AND ONLINE). I FEEL SURROUNDED BY PROBLEMS AND ANGER AND AWFULNESS AND I WANT IT TO END. #VENT

You know what I hate about parents? Many things. One of them is how if you try talking any logic into them, they automatically take it as talking back and threaten you with chores/taking stuff away and whatnot before the first half of the sentence is over.

@Magatha
Yes, but that has NOTHING to do with the situation. It won't offer any protection, and not going doesn't reduce it in any way.
@Fruitloop
It's a thing where I learn things I already know, don't know but don't need, or just learn from life anyway. It's going to be boring and I'm not going to use any of the info I get in life because I either already have the info or don't need it.
@dude1237
...Really? This is a serious problem going on in my life, not a place to make jokes.

Thanks for the common sense.

I wish I could make a REAL argument with parents. Whenever I try, it goes like this.
Mom: Carter, I'm making you do something you don't need or want and is pointless to have anyway.
Me: counterargumen-
Mom: SUDDEN INTERRUPTION TO STOP YOUR POINT FROM GETTING ACROSS.
Me: Can I just say one thing?
Mom: Yes.
Me: Counterargument.
Mom: Ignorant demand for argument evidence that cannot be acquired then or there.
Me: I- I can't explain it right now, bu-
Mom: Exclamation that you don't have evidence, followed by a sentence that only makes you angrier and unable to respond, letting me win!
Me: internal scream.ing and curses.

Don't get me wrong, I love my parents. They can be awful sometimes, though.

I don't know, man. If you can't avoid something, you just have to try to enjoy it. Who knows? It may be more fun than you think! What 'activity' did your mom talk about? /: /

They think they're right because they're older, but I think they forget how they felt at the injustices they were presented with at our age. Perhaps they found another way that was unexpected but helped them. I dunno. What's the problem with your friends though?
