It's ironic because there's an anime I watch where this guy can use his own blood as a weapon

Actually, only princes can do this. Ex: Eridan shoots a beam made of hope from his wand and uses it a weapon, Kurloz uses a shout of rage and deafens Meulin. Although I haven't seen Dirk use a heart weapon. But it is probably safe to make a blood prince use blood.
