Mike gets to talk to his Dad cause his dad was the previous #BlueCore weilder so he left some of his power in the Blue Core so he could talk to him. They talk when Mike takes on the paradox leader, he talks to his mom later when he fights this mysterious masked me who is later revealed to be closer to Mike than people would think.
